GLOBALfiber 9ch CWDM BiDi Mux/Demux – LGX / 1U Rack
The GLOBALfiber 9-channel CWDM BiDi Mux/Demux is a high-quality passive CWDM solution enabling bi-directional transmission of up to 9 channels (18 wavelengths). It is designed for environments where fiber resources are limited, but requirements for capacity, stability, and scalability remain high.
The solution is based on Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) technology and is delivered as a plug-in LGX module, compatible with a 4-slot 1U rack, providing a clean, flexible, and space-efficient installation in central offices and data centers.
Function and Applications
The Mux/Demux units are used in pairs and transmit and receive different wavelengths in each direction (BiDi). This enables multiple services to operate simultaneously over the same fiber, including:
• 1G / 10G Ethernet
• SDH / SONET
• Fibre Channel 1G / 2G / 4G / 8G
Typical application areas include telecom and broadband networks, data centers, broadcast and TV, finance, government, cloud infrastructure, and other fiber-constrained environments.
