The 800GBASE-VR8 OSFP optical transceiver module is engineered for 800 GbE Ethernet transmission over OM4 multimode fiber (MMF) with link lengths of up to 50 meters. Operating at 850 nm and using dual MTP/MPO-12 APC connectors, the module delivers high-density, low-latency connectivity for modern data center architectures.
The transceiver is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ck, OSFP MSA, and CMIS 5.0 standards. Integrated Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) provides real-time visibility into key operating parameters such as optical power, temperature, and voltage.
Designed in a twin-port OSFP finned-top form factor, this module is optimized for air-cooled Ethernet switches. With low power consumption, high reliability, and deterministic performance, it supports spine–leaf switch-to-switch links, top-of-rack connections, and connectivity to network adapters or BlueField-3 DPUs in compute and storage systems. It is an ideal optical solution for HPC, AI, and cloud data center environments.
