The 800GBASE-2×FR4 OSFP optical transceiver module is designed to deliver 800 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over distances of up to 2 km on OS2 single-mode fiber (SMF). The module operates using four CWDM wavelengths per 400G channel (FR4)—1271 nm, 1291 nm, 1311 nm, and 1331 nm—and utilizes dual duplex LC/UPC connectors.
The transceiver is compliant with OSFP MSA, CMIS Rev 5.0, and IEEE 802.3cu / IEEE 802.3ck standards, ensuring broad interoperability across modern 800G Ethernet platforms. Integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM) provides real-time visibility into optical and electrical operating parameters.
The twin-port OSFP Closed Finned Top design is optimized for air-cooled Ethernet switches and high-density systems. It supports deployment in spine–leaf architectures, switch-to-switch interconnects, top-of-rack (ToR) to network adapter links, and connections to BlueField-3 DPUs in compute and storage platforms. This makes the module well suited for HPC, AI workloads, and cloud data centers.

Closed Finned Top Design – Explained
The Closed Finned Top architecture incorporates a finned heatsink enclosed by a protective top cover, forming a controlled airflow channel. This design provides:
Improved thermal performance in forced-air environments
Mechanical protection of cooling fins
Compatibility with air-cooled and liquid-cooled platforms
Enhanced reliability in high-power 800G systems
