GF-6800-CH08 – 2U HT6800 DCI DWDM Chassis with Redundant MPU Main Control
The GF-6800-CH08 is a high-capacity 2U modular chassis for the GF-6800 DCI DWDM Optical Transmission System. Designed for Data Center Interconnect (DCI), metro, backbone and long-haul optical networks, the platform combines high transmission capacity, modular service expansion and centralized network management in a compact 2U form factor.
The chassis supports up to 8 × 1/4-slot service modules or 4 × 1/2-slot modules and provides a maximum platform capacity of up to 6.4 Tbps. The modular architecture supports electrical-layer muxponder/transponder cards as well as optical-layer modules including WSS, TFF, OP, OTDR, OCM, OA and OLA cards.

Network Management Unit – MPU Main Control Card
The MPU (Main Processing Unit) is the central control and network management unit of the GF-6800-CH08. It manages both the control plane and management plane and communicates with the installed service cards through the chassis backplane.
For the 2U platform, the system supports dual MPU controllers with 1+1 redundancy, providing increased availability and protection against controller failure.
