The GF-6800-CH04 is a compact and modular chassis for the GF-6800 DCI DWDM Optical Transmission System, designed for high-capacity Data Center Interconnect (DCI), metro and optical transport applications.
The platform provides a flexible architecture for integrating electrical-layer service cards, coherent transponders/muxponders and optical-layer modules within a centrally managed system. The GF-6800 platform supports high-capacity transmission, modular expansion and multiple network management interfaces, making it suitable for scalable DWDM deployments.

Network Management Unit – MPU Main Control Card

The MPU (Main Processing Unit) is the central control and network management card for the GF-6800 chassis. It manages both the control plane and management plane and communicates with installed service cards through the chassis backplane.
The MPU provides centralized service configuration, equipment monitoring, alarm management, software and firmware management, network configuration and system administration. It features a high-performance CPU, hot-swappable design and independent cooling.
