The 150 GHz 32-channel DWDM MUX/DEMUX is a passive optical multiplexing device designed for high-capacity optical transmission systems. The unit operates across the C-band wavelength range (1566.31nm – 1529.16nm) and follows the ITU-T 150 GHz grid, enabling efficient utilization of fiber infrastructure for high-capacity transport networks. Using AAWG flat-top filter technology, the device supports dense wavelength multiplexing with stable spectral performance, low insertion loss, and reliable channel isolation. The solution is suitable for point-to-point DWDM transmission over two optical fibers, supporting high-capacity services such as 32 × 800G optical channels. An integrated monitor port allows optical signal monitoring and troubleshooting without disrupting live traffic.


150 GHz optics - up to 32 channels
Transceivers designed for the 150 GHz ITU grid align directly with the AWG filter centers, allowing all 32 channels of the MUX to be used.

100 GHz optics - up to 16 channels
Because the 100 GHz grid does not match the 150 GHz filter spacing, only every second channel typically aligns well with the filter center. In practice this results in around 16 usable channels.

• 50 GHz optics - up to 32 channels
Although 50 GHz transceivers offer finer wavelength tuning, the 150 GHz AWG filter only passes one optimal wavelength per channel. Therefore the system still supports 32 channels in total, but channel density cannot be increased beyond the mux design.
